Cabin Fun!!

Well blogger world its been awhile, and not much as happened...

Except meet our new friends Kendal and Brandon!

If ever there are two people in the world more like

Brad and I it would be Brandon and Kendal.

Brad/Brandon = LOUD, talkative, hmmm occasionally obnoxious(to other people of course never me or Kendal;)

Tori/ Kendal= Quiet, shy(until you get to know the real us), and I guess occasionally obnoxious to two certain men:)

Well a couple weekends ago we went to there cabin, and met two other great friends Kell and Trav, it was a great weekend full of snowmobiling, eating, playing games, laughing ALOT of laughing. Im sure this is only the beginning of the fun we will have together!!

Baby. Nursing school. Baby. Nursing School.

So I have been contemplating these ideas for the past month or two. We were all set we went and talked to the adoption people and were ready set go… and I had a thought. Finically we could do this might be a little struggle but who doesn’t struggle. Then I had another thought child care… I would still have to work full time. I don’t want someone else raising my baby. After all we would be the ones to be picked to raise this baby and we would keep our word. So I have been looking into MA school which basically pays the same as I do now so as much as I think I would like it, it wouldn’t solve my problem. So since in my life I am surrounded by wonderful nurses I have decided to go to school and get my RN. It will be HARD and I will want to QUIT but I know one thing that will get me through this……

Being able to become a mom! So if I try my hardest and if everything goes as planned within four to five years eeek I will be done with school. In my head that seems like such a long time to go with this urgent need in my heart. I just have to keep telling myself that waiting and doing this will give my baby a better life. So through all the struggles I have to just keep telling myself this! How does Brad feel about this he says whatever I want to do he will support which he always does he is my rock.

Well I have decided that my life with my dogs is very similar to the book/movie marley and me. So I think I will try to make a Diesel Bella and me post everyonce and awhile...

Our adventure today you may ask???
I came home from work today and Brad called me into the back yard... " Dont let the dogs out of the kennel," ME " why what now?" Brad " They were in the house for five seconds while i turned the sprinklers on and they had the garbage everywhere and ate the brand new loaf of bread."
Me of course thinking that most things my dogs do wrong is on the owners, thinks well he must have not of fed them and they were just starving.. I suggested this and Brad said " no that was the first thing i did right when i walked into the door." Needless to say our dogs spent a good majority of the night in the kennel. Being quiet as two little church mouses, partly because they knew they were in trouble and partly because they were probably in mini food comas. Oh ANd there were left over brownies i could not stop eating so I threw them away last night in the garbage....

BROWNIES YOU MAY ASK????? WHY SO SHOCKING??

I swear everytime I make brownies my little isabella gets them... time number one, I made brownies and they were cooling on the oven, I went out to dinner with some friends come home.. glass pan on the floor. .. how did that get there im thinking then I realize she managed to get the GLASS pan down without breaking it?? And licked it so clean I forgot there was anything in it to begin with. Time number two.. Brad was home for christmas and we had my parents over for dinner and they brought some AMAZING brownies for desert after they left we ran to blockbuster..... came home whole thing of brownies GONE... Whole bag of brand new rolls GONE.. Hickory Farms sausage.. GONE like I said earlier most of these things are my fault because I used to leave them out NOT ANYMORE my husband is learning this over again...

ONe last thing before I go...

This down here is Zoey my niece... she loves to walk diesel its her favorite thing to do... me and my sis decided to go to the dog park oh how fun! When we got there we realized there was a mud puddle.. we were ok for the first ten minutes. Until diesel realized it was there he ran over to it ran in it and rolled around in it... and the other dogs followed. well now what we have to walk two and a half miles home not too bad right? well walk my dogs and find out? Diesel and Bella get out of my hand once and go chasing some animal into a back yard and I have to go chasing them down.... number two there are some kind of birds that nest by the sidewalk and and just circle so my dogs bust out of my hands once more and do complete circles around the neighborhood for A GOOD five minutes.. ah needless to say I was Exhausted after this walk and grumpy....

They may be naughty..

They may be possibly the worlds worst behaved dogs..

Oh but their mine and how can you not love those mugs!!!

YAY For my BNANA!! Savannah my sister, best friend, is graduating from nursing school.

She is such a good person and will be the most amazing nurse ever! She has wanted to be a nurse as long as I can remember and has stuck through the hard ships of school and now she will be an RN! SAV is the one of the most compassionate and caring person I know, She has taken care of me since the day I came home from the hospital. At four years old she knew how to take care of a premi baby with a heart monitor and did a great job at it. She loves children and will most likely stay at SDCH to work with the children there. She truely has a calling in life and it is to work with these kids she understands them and loves them more than anything. I love you My BNANA WAY TO GO!

YAY FOR YARD WORK

After Brad got home we decided that our front yard could use a little help! So on we went to Home Depot. Many MANY hours later ( Brad is mr. indecisive) We got everrything home and ready to go!

THIS WAS FOR SURE THE WHAT WERE WE THINKING MODE!

This took forever! Look at that monster whats bush whats weeds we werent quite sure so we took it all out!! EVERYTHING went!

And the final result is....... BEAUTIFUL! It was well worth the

work. It was actually fun to have such a big project and such great results!

Well we will cross this off of our to do list and start our next project!

HEllo world!!

MY Husband has finally returned!!! It was eight long months but we did it. It seems as if it went by fast and slow at the same time, not to say that im not happy about it being over I am extremely happy to be a whole again. It a little like being newlyweds again... the wanting to cook for him make lunches be at his beck and call not so much but I do love having him here. Its the friendship, the love and understanding and the fun.. oh do we have fun! Im not sure I laugh quite as hard as I do when were together.

The dogs of course are so happy to have their dad back diesel does not leave his side he follows him where ever Brad goes.

We went and spent the night at the Anniversary INN it was so fun and beautiful totally worth it. WE needed a break from life!

WE both had this past week off and boy has it flown by.... usually you love for the weekends to come eh not so much.

back to work we both go monday :) Back to normal life:)

So I am going to try to get together a food storage and our 72 hr kits ready to go... it will take awhile, it will probably give me many anxiety attacks but it needs to be done and it will!

Another note I Have been called to be a primary teacher, I have never been in the primary before but I think it will be a good expierence( maybe it will calm down my baby hungry needs ) Im excited although me and Brad have not been able to go to sunday school together in eight months so i was looking forward to that, but this will be a good thing for the both of us.

Its been awhile!!

sorry about that my computer was broke and i had to send it clear to brad in Texas!

luckily now it is fixed

some UPDATES......

I transferred jobs from my Alzheimer's facility, which was changing anyway into a rehab place ( the main reason I wanted a change)

now Im working for a home health care and hospice, im also helping with a

PTINR program which is checking peoples blood for clotting purposes

anyway its different and I like it, its nice to have a change of pace. It was a little scary to change jobs but i think it will be good, hopefully my hours will be better so I can go to school.

Im thinking thats the only change for me

BRADLEY VICKERS WILL BE RETURNING IN TWENTY FOUR DAYS!!!

Thank the heavens! I cannot wait to get back to a normal life and be a family again!

He is doing good he just finished his last hard block and he rocked it!!

Im so proud of the things he has accomplished but I just want him home so we can continue building our life together.

Im currently trying to get things ready for his return Im trying to organize our two spare bedrooms which is a job in itself. Im hoping to make our closet in one of our spare bedrooms a food storage since its the real only open place for one. I have been experimenting with sewing i have a couple projects I will take pictures of and post soon. Its fun I just have so much I have to teach myself to do.

On another note Im a big movie buff its pretty much my favorite thing to do, to go see a new movie so just to name a few that I love and suggest you go see....

Romantic movie and of course Robert pattinson is in it :) he did a very good job. I really suggest everyone sees it, it has some language in it so beware but it really has a good lesson in it.... I wont give it away but just never forget.....

IT ROCKED I LOVE TIM BURTON, I enjoy most of his movies but This one was so good.. I also love johnny depp he is an amazing actor he fits into so many different characters! I cant wait for it to come out onto DVD.....

sO in the absence of my hubby on my bday, my

friends and family took very good care of me!

my friends took me to dinner, super fun!

MY bff Melissa made me this yummy cake!

Although my hubby was MIA he got his momto bring me this cake for my birthday at work!! Needless to say I had a LOT of cake, good thing i had people to share it with!

I probably should toss this one though since im still snacking on it!

ok so I have been wanting to start a new hobby for awhile now.......

SEWING

I actually got a sewing machine out of storage that was my great grandmas..... no such luck was not in a great working condition. So i had been looking online to find one at a good price,

UNTIL I GOT HOME FROM WORK ON MY BIRTHDAY AND FOUND THIS ON MY TABLE!

IT WAS LIKE CHRISTMAS ALL OVER AGAIN!

My wonderful grandma surprised me with this fabulous machine! I'm so excited to start using it!
I have some fun projects im looking forward to doing!

Hopefully my first project will be a practice baby quilt and then a real baby quilt! I will keep posting on my progress!

I HOPE EVERYONE HAD A GOOD HOLIDAY......

BRAD GOT TO COME HOME FOR TWO WHOLE WEEKS!

this was our first Christmas in our house and it was so much fun to decorate! I think decorating is my favorite activity, brad would probably have to agree since he built a huge shelf in our garage to keep all of our many decorations!

Christmas is for sure my favorite holiday! Ever since i have been little I wake up at the crack of creation and get everyone up! Well i gave brad some time i got him up at eight a clock!! we had cinnamon rolls and opened gifts!

We got to go to Boondocks on new years day! If you dont know what

that is, its an arcade type place. They have laser tag, bowling, and mini golf.

The mini golf is outside so we have to wait for warmer weather to play that but we had a lot of fun!

Sadly the two weeks ended and brad is now back in Texas, he starts school on Januray 14th and will be done sometime in April we dont have a for sure date yet, but were waiting anxiously!

The best gift that either of us could have got was to spend this time together!

Basic training graduation!!

So an update for anyone who doesnt know that my love of my life joined the air force reserves he left in august and has been in texas for two months for basic training....

Im so very proud of him, although this hasnt been the easiest thing i have been through we both know this is the right thing to do for our family. So in October 9th brad graduated from Basic and officailly became a AIRMAN! I got to go down to texas to celebrate with him it was and amazing experience! We got to spend thursday to sunday together it was the best couple days! He grown so much im so lucky to have him as my husband! Sadly on sunday he had to get on a bus for a 13 hour ride to mississippi! He started school today and said it was good even though i miss him more than anything i have been doing ok trying to keep busy.. he will be coming home for christmas and then he will be back in may sheesh thats a long time but we will make it this has only made our relationship stronger!

JulY Fourth weekend!

I hope everyone had a fabulous fourth here in utah we get two fire work weekends thanks to pioneer day! I am very thankful for all of the people that made both of these holidays possible!! So we had a fun weekend we went camping! Friday the weather was kind of nasty so i spent most of my day reading twilight... which was made me very happy!

Saturday and sunday the weather got better and better! Terry, chrissy and drew came up on saturday it was fun having them up there! we all rode four wheelers and just enjoyed spending time together away from the every day world!

Although...

Chrissy had an accident on the fourwheeler and after all the worries and prayers and for her a lot of pain she is going to be ok it will be quite the recovery but lets face it chrissy is as hard as a rock nothing is going to knock her down she is down right amazing and i thank my heavenly father that she was not more hurt than she was ! i love my new family just like they have been my family my whole life i have went through my life with one amazing sister and now i have five new amazing sisters who i couldnt love more!! i am very lucky to have both of the families that i have and i am sure glad that i know that families are forever because i know that i would never want to be without these people in my life!

Air show fun!!

LAst weekend was the air show! it was fun i really enjoyed the thunderbirds brad enjoyed the whole tweleve hours he was there! he loves his planes i guess thats why he wants to be a piolet! Brad should find out when he leaves for boot camp within a couple weeks..... were crossing our fingers this waiting is pointless!!

We went hiking up adams canyon a couple weeks ago, it was a lot of fun also hard work I need to get in shape !! it was a great outing with the whole family. diesel and bella loved it! were so blessed to have such a great family!

Happy Valentines Day Love buGs!!!

We had an awesome valentines partly because this is my first unscheduled saturday off ya hooo loving the new schedule!! We woke up and went to breakfast with our dad vick!! Then we came home and were lazy ALL day it was great! We watched some movies and played some video games which my new fav video game is big planet little people it is soo cute!! i was addicted to it all day and night yesterday...... I hope everyone had a great day!!! oh ps our house is closing tuesday!!!

No no dont think that!!! our new addition is our dog Bella yes i am one of those crazed twilight fans! we actually got her around christmas but since i am such an amazing blogger i never got around to posting it!! she is a wonderful dog i actually found her at the salon and called the pound her orginal owners signed her away and now she is part of our family! i couldnt have asked for a more amazing dog!!! Diesel couldnt be happier!
